Nicole Painter is a fifth-year lobbyist who began her career early and has quickly built a reputation for effective advocacy and clear communication. She is an honors graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she double-majored in Journalism and Electronic Media and Political Science.

 

While in college, Nicole spent her summers interning in Washington, D.C. with the United States Senate, as well as with multiple local news stations in Knoxville—experiences that shaped her ability to navigate both the legislative and communications landscapes. She joined the Bivens firm as an intern in 2021 and was hired full-time upon completion of her internship.

 

She plays a key role in helping the Bivens team effectively communicate client priorities to legislators and stakeholders. She brings a strong foundation in policy, strategic messaging, and relationship-building, paired with an energetic and personable approach that resonates at the Capitol.

Nicole currently serves on the University of  Tennessee's Young Alumni Council and is a regular volunteer for the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.
